The Druskininkai Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic Saulutė is located in a five hectare pine forest in the centre of the resort town on the banks of the Nemunas River. Since 2011, the children’s rehabilitation clinic has been a unit of the Children’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos. Up to 2500 young patients from all over Lithuania are treated here per year.
Natural resources – fresh air, the powerful scent of pine trees, mineral water, medicinal mud, and the rehabilitation methods applied in the institution, tone, and toughen, increasing the child’s resistance to illness, and prevent or reduce the possibility of disability.
