A day with M.K.C. and other Čiurlionis in Dzūkija
“A Day with M.K.Č. and other Čiurlionis in Dzūkija” is an all-day cultural – cognitive and educational trip.
The route starts from Liškiava, where the family of Adela and Konstantinas Čiurlionis was born, continues to Čiurlionis’ beloved Druskininkai, stops in Ratnytsia and finally invites you to go out to admire the distances of the Raigardas Valley, where Mikalojus Konstantinas and his family liked to go to paint.
The tour will visit the Church of St. Nicholas of Liškiava. Trinity Church, Liškiava mounds, the old Druskininkai cemetery and the village of Švendubrė. We will discuss our impressions on the banks of the Ratnyčėlė River with fragrant mint tea, and we will invite you to create your own initial in memory, based on the initials of M.K. Čiurlionis, which were created at the beginning of the twentieth century for the first Lithuanian books.
Those who wish will have the opportunity to purchase the author’s debut book “Čiurlioniai takais. Pažingsniavimai po Dzūkiją” with a calligraphic inscription.
The individual itinerary is designed and accompanied by Aušra Česnulevičienė, an art historian and the promoter of Druskininkai culture.
