Protection of personal data

The Public Enterprise Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre (Gardino g. 3, Druskininkai, tel.: +370 313 60803, e-mail : information@druskininkai.lt, company code: 152090338) processes personal data for the purpose of providing tourism information and for the purpose of identification of the employees of the Tourism Information Centre.
The Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC) and the “Rules on the processing of personal data of the Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre” approved by the Director of the Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre by Order No VK-020 of 14 December 2018.

Rights of the data subject:
To receive information about the processing of their personal data;
To request information on the purposes for which the information is processed, what data is processed, how long the data is stored. This information is provided free of charge (the Data Controller may charge a fixed fee for repeated requests by the Data Subject for information on the processing), once upon completion of the request;
Access to your personal data that is stored;
Request the rectification of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
Request erasure (right to be forgotten) of personal data;
To object to the processing of any personal data relating to a particular case;
Request to restrict the processing of your personal data;
Receive your personal data in a digital format and transmit it to another controller (‘data portability’);
Request that decisions based on automated processing which relate to or significantly affect an individual and are based on personal data are taken by natural persons and not by computer systems.

These rights help to ensure that information about an individual is correct, that it is accessible only to those who have the right to access it and that it is used only for lawful purposes.

Procedures for the exercise of personal data rights:
In order to exercise the above-mentioned rights, a person may submit a written request to the Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre (in person, by post, through a representative, or by means of electronic communications, Gardino str. 3, Druskininkai, tel.: +370 313 60803, e-mail information@druskininkai.lt);
The request must be legible, signed by the person, and must state: the person’s name, surname, place of residence, contact details, and information on which of the above-mentioned rights he/she wishes to exercise and to what extent;
The Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre shall provide a reply to the person no later than 1 month from the date of the request.

The law may provide for exceptions where the controller may not exercise the rights of the person (data subject):
Where it is necessary to ensure national security or defence;
Where it is necessary to ensure public order, the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences;
Where it is necessary to safeguard important economic or financial interests of the State;
When it is necessary to ensure the prevention, investigation and detection of breaches of official or professional ethics;
Where it is necessary to ensure the protection of the rights and freedoms of an individual (data subject) or other persons.

The Data Protection Officer is obliged to ensure the secrecy or confidentiality of his/her tasks.
