On 9 August 1995, the municipal company “Druskininkai Tourism Information Bureau” was established. It was one of the first tourism information centres in Lithuania. The Druskininkai Tourist Information Bureau operated in the premises of the municipality.
On2 February 2001, by Decision No 279 of the Druskininkai Municipal Council of2 February 2001, the Druskininkai Tourist Information Bureau was reorganised on 19 February 2001 into a budgetary institution and maintained from the municipal budget, the headquarters moved to new premises at 1 Gardino Street, and additional premises at 65 M.K. Čiurlionio Street were made available to tourists.
25 February 2003 On 1 April 2003, by Decision No 868 of the Druskininkai Municipal Council, the budget institution Druskininkai Tourism Information Bureau was reorganised into the public institution Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre.
22 December 2003 Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre moved to the new, renovated premises of the former railway station on Gardino Street 3.
On 16 December 2008, the Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre was awarded the nomination of “Most Successful Tourism Information Centre of 2008”.
23 September 2015 The Druskininkai Tourism and Business Information Centre celebrates its 20th birthday.
