Gydyklų Park

Gydyklų Park (The Health Resort Park) is an old town garden in the historic heart of Druskininkai. In the 19th century, it was the place where the whole life of the newcomers revolved: healing, entertainment, socialising. The garden is symmetrically planned, with English-style parts with winding paths. There are healing rooms and a Kurhaus. It had a station, a bookshop-library, a candy store and a theatre hall. In the park you could enjoy kefir and kumys. During the Soviet era, a mineral water spring office was built, as well as other buildings for drinking the mineral water. In 2011, the park was reconstructed with new sculptures, paths, benches, lighting, new planting, and a redesign of the surroundings of the Beauty Spring. The historical landmark of the park is the river water level gauge of 1881.
