A commemorative bench for Karolis Dineika
Karolis Dineika – a specialist in therapeutic physical education, lecturer, academic and the creator of the first rules of basketball – was known as the ‘miracle-worker from Druskininkai’. For 28 years of his life, he developed a health park in Druskininkai,
paying particular attention to treatment using air, sun and water. His methods of treatment and health promotion remain relevant to this day. Consequently, a bench dedicated to the memory of K. Dineika was erected in the K. Dineika Health Park.
