Sculpture in memory of J. Marcinkevičius - The Singing Bird
The idea to commemorate the memory of J. Marcinkevičius in Druskininkai was born in 2023. It was supported by the communities of Druskininkai, the poet’s relatives, and many people of Lithuania, who not only morally supported the sculpture, but also provided financial support – more than 100 thousand euros were raised for the construction of the sculpture, and the sculpture is accompanied by 16 tiles with the names of the most generous patrons, and the names of the companies that have provided the most support.
