The ‘Crown’ Monument

The ‘Crown’ Monument

The ‘Crowns’ monument, created by the renowned sculptor Dalia Matulaitė, is dedicated to the royal couple: the last of the Jagiellonian dynasty, Sigismund Augustus, and his second wife, the love of his life, Barbora Radvilaitė. The monument stands on the banks of the Nemunas River, in Gydyklų Park, and symbolises the cooperation between the spa towns of two neighbouring countries, Augustów and Druskininkai.
