When we go to big cities, we forget the crafts and customs of our ancestors. Not all children have seen how honey is made, how a stove is fired, not all have heard the real Dzūki dialect. So we invite you to real Dzūki farms to see how local residents make cheese, extract honey, dance folk dances and play ancient games! Educational programs and evenings in the Druskininkai area are organized by “Sūrūs vėjai”. You can try out national crafts – candle casting, wax printing of eggs, straw gardens or tying birds – in the artists’ workshop “Menų kalvė”. You will make souvenirs from salt during the “Sūrios pamokas”. You will bake a traditional šakoti in the educational session “Romnesoje”.
