“Malūno Kalvė” is a unique place where metal sculptures by Lithuanian and foreign blacksmiths, old blacksmithing and household-applied metal tools and equipment, and various farm implements are exhibited. Ancient metalworking equipment has been restored in the working water mill. One of the most unique exhibits is a collection of blacksmith’s cross-cutting, which is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. During a guided tour with the blacksmith Juozas, you will learn about the history of Lithuanian blacksmithing and metal extraction, and get acquainted with the exhibition of metalwork. During the blacksmithing education, you will discover the traditional craft of blacksmithing and have the opportunity to try out the process in practice. You can buy blacksmithing souvenirs and original gifts in the Mill’s forge, and order metal decorative elements for the interior and exterior of your home.
