“Dzub Dzub” Studio – Gallery – a place where history and the present intertwine.
Chapels, crosses, sculptures of saints, mythological characters – all these are the works of wood sculptor and artist Gintautas Akstinas. The gallery’s exposition is complemented by the handicrafts of the artist’s wife – handkerchiefs and gloves knitted in traditional Lithuanian and Baltic patterns….
While visiting the exposition, you will hear stories about Baltic symbols, deities and Christian iconography.
In the master’s workshop you will see an exposition of ancient woodworking tools, learn how the festivals, birds are “born”…
After the tour, you will taste homemade bread baked by the hostess, enjoy “būžukų” and herbal teas.
If you want to make a souvenir, “touch” the craft of carving or knitting, we offer educational activities.
The studio-gallery offers wood carvings and handicrafts for sale, and individual orders are accepted.
Those interested in history, ethno-culture and nature are welcome to join special excursions to the Dainava region.
