Šakotis Museum

Known as the “Lithuanian cake”, šakotis leaves no one indifferent – the melt-in-your-mouth delicacy delights everyone who tastes it. You can find out how and what šakotis is made by visiting the Romnesa restaurant-bakery and the world’s first and only šakotis museum. This is where all the ancient and modern tools and other exhibits related to the production of shakochi are gathered. And once you enter the museum, you’ll see a Guinness World Record-breaking fork that is a whopping 3.72 metres high and weighs 86 kg.

The most curious people at Romnesa can watch the entire process of making this delicacy and taste their own fork baked in the open flames of the fireplace.
