City coat of arms

By Arūnas and Agnius Tarabildai, 1994. The coat of arms is framed in black, and the blue background of the shield depicts three stylised silver (white) pine trees with three golden (yellow), Čiurlioni-like crowns of forest kings on top.
The pines, with their branches as if their hands were clasped together, form a vast forest mass. From the branches, Druskininkai’s natural riches burst forth like a cornucopia. The coat of arms is dominated by the pyramid triangle and the sacred numbers three, six and nine.

City brand

Creators of the brand and visual identity – UAB Godspeed Branding, 2022

The logo consists of the main symbol of the spa town – a bouvet with a stream of gushing mineral water, symbolising Druskininkai’s natural and healing resources, traditions and rich history. The logo also bears the date considered to be the official date of the establishment of Druskininkai on 20 June 1794, when, on the orders of Stanislaw August Poniatowski, a palace doctor examined the healing properties of Druskininkai’s mineral water and, by royal decree, Druskininkai was declared to be a healing place. The main aim of the resort, its doctors and health professionals has always been to maintain harmony in the human body and soul. That is why the sign features a circle, which brings together this harmony, which comes from nature, and which envelops everyone who comes to Druskininkai.

The different colour formations of the new visual identity of Druskininkai symbolise the diversity of Druskininkai’s nature: the merging and intertwining elements of earth, air and water. In this diversity lies the peace, purity and refreshment of Druskininkai, which are subtly conveyed by the colour transitions.

City anthem

The words of the Druskininkai anthem were written by Lithuanian poet Gintaras Patackas, and the music was composed by a true Druskininkai resident, the legendary pioneer of big-band music in Lithuania, composer Mikas Suraučius.

The town of Druskininkai

Gintaras PATACKAS (words)
Mikas SURAUČIUS (music)

Wake up and march straight to the Sun Trail,
And hear the dew fall from the flowers,
As the birds begin to chirp, and the dew flows
The little wheel to the Nemunas in the green maple.

Come to Druskonis and watch the mist disappear,
As the silhouettes of houses are flooded with light.
Mysteriously, the park of the Old Doctors
And the spirit of Čiurlionis’ colours will fill the air

Chorus:
Here where faces are so cheerful, where echoes of laughter echo,
Hundreds of friends will wish you a happy life!
Love my city, understand how I understand it,
Say its name solemnly: Drus-ki-nin-kai!

Sit for a day in the shade of a tall tree,
When the smell of pine trees makes you dizzy,
Feel the peace and love, and late at night
You shall go gently to the Nemunas Vingis.

When the fires of the sunset over the forest begin to fade,
And the Island of Love will sail towards the sunset,
You will hear the loud Dzūkija song from the shore,
The legend of the Salt Land of the Old Ones.

Chorus
