What Druskininkai’s guests say

Throughout the year, Druskininkai receives thousands of beautiful reviews and acknowledgements from its guests. The services provided by the resort are constantly being developed and expanded to meet the needs of all its customers beginning with children and finishing with the elderly. Celebrities from the showbusiness world, dog lovers, jazz musicians,  students, athletes, racing drivers spend their breaks here… Druskininkai shares its beauty and health resources with everyone. And what can be dearer to one’s heart than strength and health being regained?

It is worth travelling

‘Every year I go to improve my health and regain my strength. Super. We come to Druskininkai from Šiauliai, but it is worth travelling.’ Danguolė, Šiauliai (Lithuania).

We well know where we will be returning to…

‘Everyone who visits this town falls in love with it. We are extremely grateful to everyone in the town for a wonderful holiday. For two weeks we had lived here surrounded by peace, beauty, and the care of those who have been looking after us. We were breathing fresh air, and admiring the beauty of the town and its surroundings. And now we are leaving while the town is becoming even more beautiful as it gets ready for the opening of the resort season. As guests of the town say, “it is a gem”, “a fabulous place”, “flower of Lithuania”, “a paradise”. We are sad about having to go and we really don’t want to, but we already know where we are going for our next holiday because “only those who have not been to Druskininkai feel good going anywhere”.’ Elena and Jevgenij Kudinov, Moscow (Russia).

It feels like home

‘Amazing! We are here for the sixth time and every time we come we find we like Druskininkai in a different way. We have been travelling with a camper trailer since 1976… and this town offers great treatments in its SPA centres. Next year we’ll be back, feeling at home.’ Leo Halonen, Finland.

A great resort town

‘If you want to have lazy holidays then come to this great resort town. It offers a variety of SPA treatments, mineral water springs, parks, recreation areas, restaurants, an impressive indoor ski run, excursions beside the River Nemunas, beaches, and extraordinarily wide cycle paths. We loved our accommodation at #IngaVacationHouse. THANK YOU.’ Judīte, Latvia.

In Europe’s Top 10 of best resorts

‘Druskininkai really belongs in Europe’s top ten resorts. It is really nice to witness so many people here speaking or at least understanding Polish. In the town there are a good many luxury hotels and sanatoriums, and you are better off leaving the car in the Old Town and going for a walk. The resort cuts through forests in which grow coniferous and deciduous trees. If it’s sunny, it is wonderful here.’ A guest from Poland.

meganstarr.com: unusual things to do in a Lithuanian spa town

I first heard of Druskininkai, Lithuania from my friends from Belarus.  This Lithuania spa town sits fairly close to the Belarussian and Polish borders and is situated along the Nemunas River, Lithuania’s largest river, which also passes through Kaunas.

While Druskininkai may be known for its spa and mineral properties the same way Lithuania is known for being a nation of basketball lovers, the reason I had actually first heard about this town of around 13,000 residents is because of their snow arena.  My friends were all heading up there to go snowboarding inside of the Druskininkai Snow Arena, home to one of Europe’s biggest indoor skiing slopes.

Druskininkai is a Lithuanian spa town located next to the Polish and Belarusian borders. Picturesque Russian wooden constructions, square Polish buildings and baroque-style Lithuanian structures are mixed together and surrounded by parks, creating an atypical and charming scenery. But Druskininkai has more to offer, especially for those who are looking for fulfilling and adventurous experiences: skiing or snowboarding at the Snow Arena and getting relaxed/having fun at “Druskininkai Recreation and Health Centre Aqua.”
