Follow in the footsteps of Jacques Lipschitz in Druskininkai
Žakas Lipšicas (1891-1973) – Lithuanian sculptor of Jewish origin, a prominent representative of Cubism, who lived and worked in France, the USA, Israel and Italy. Lipšicas was born on 22 August 1891, in Lithuania, Lithuania, Lithuania, Lithuania and Lithuania. He attended the local Jewish school, later the Bialystok Commercial School and the Vilnius Gymnasium. In 1906-1909 he studied engineering. In 1909, he went to Paris to study art.In 1911-1912, Ž. Ž. Lipšicas never forgot not only his Jewish origins, but also his country of birth, and liked to introduce himself – “I am a sculptor from Lithuania”.
