In 2026, Druskininkai will invite residents and visitors to a wide range of cultural, sporting, artistic and community events throughout the year. The calendar of events includes long-standing festivals, international festivals, exhibitions and active leisure events for a wide range of audiences.

In Druskininkai, 2026 will begin with the commemoration of January 13th and a cosy evening of romances, inviting you to welcome the year in a meaningful and cultural way. February will be marked by Valentine’s Day events in Druskininkai, February 16th commemorations throughout the Druskininkai region, museum initiatives and the traditional Užgavėnės (Mardi Gras) in Viečiūnai.

In spring, Druskininkai will host important cultural and sporting events, including the anniversary of the birth of V.K. Jonynas, the celebration of March 11, and orienteering competitions. In April, the town will be decorated with the Daffodil Blossom Festival, ART Easter, the Children’s Book Festival and the National Library Week.

May will be an active month, with the Druska Gravel bicycle race, the European Night of Museums, and the traditional Resort Festival to round off the month. The opening of the Jacques Lipchitz and Friends exhibition, the line dancing festival, the Midsummer celebrations in Druskininkai and Leipalingas will take place at the beginning of the summer.

July will be dedicated to national holidays and major events – State Day will be celebrated, the Baltic Powerlifting Championships will be held, the Jotvingiai Festival in Leipalingis will take place, and at the end of the month and the beginning of August, Druskininkai Airfield will host the American Spirit 2026.

August will be full of events – the 135th anniversary of the birth of Žakas Lipšics will be commemorated, as well as the Dainava Region Folklore Festival, the International Dog Show, Žolinės in Stračiūnai, and the traditional “Echoes of Summer”. In autumn, Druskininkai will open new museum exhibitions, hold a triathlon, Autumn Equinox events, the European Orienteering Championships and Tourism Days.

In October and November, the city will be illuminated by the Shining Pumpkin Evenings, the Poetic Autumn of Druskininkai and the Word and Light Festival for the Nordic Literature Week. The year will be rounded off by the Christmas season with a tree lighting ceremony and a series of festive events.

Druskininkai will also host ongoing festivals such as the Street Art Festival “Street Holidays”, the International Druskininkai Arts Festival “Touched by Čiurlionis”, the 61st Summer of Piano Music, and the Singing Poetry Festival “Spinduliuojantys poeziją”.
